Position Summary: Factory Boilermaker

As a Boilermaker at our Bayswater factory, you will be a key player in the manufacturing process, contributing to the fabrication and assembly of steel structures. Your role involves meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and efficient collaboration within a small team.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Factory Boilermaker who possesses a well-established work ethic and takes pride in their craft.

Key Requirements:

– Experience: Proven background as a Factory Boilermaker,
with hands-on experience in steel fabrication within a factory environment.

– Qualifications: Must hold a recognised Boilermaker qualification, showcasing expertise in fabrication techniques and methods.

– Skills: Proficiency in Mig/Tig/Arc welding, hands-on experience with electrical and manual equipment, and a thorough understanding of factory-based construction processes.

– Communication: High-level communication skills and the ability to interpret shop drawings and manufacturing plans.

– Safety: A deep understanding of workshop safety, with a commitment to minimising risks in a factory setting.

– Team Player: The ability to collaborate effectively within a production team, ensuring seamless workflow.

– Time Management: Adherence to production deadlines and effective time management skills to meet manufacturing targets.

– Flexibility: Willingness to focus on factory-based operations, contributing to the efficient production of steel items.

– Driver’s License: While factory-based, a valid driver’s license and personal transport may be required.

Position Summary: Site Boilermaker

As the Site Boilermaker for Fabcon, you will play a crucial role in the installation of steel structures, including stairways, portal frames, and platforms. Your responsibilities extend
to meticulously following plans, adhering to site safety regulations, and consistently prioritising a secure working environment.

Fabcon predominantly operates on construction sites across Melbourne CBD.

What We Expect:

We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and committed professional with a proven strong work ethic. The successful candidate should thrive under the guidance of a Site Foreman or Leading Hand, demonstrating proficiency in the following key areas:

Key Requirements:

– Experience: Proven background as a Boilermaker, with hands-on experience in the steel industry. 

– Qualifications: Must hold a recognised Boilermaker qualification, and preferably hold Riggers Dogman and EWP tickets.   

– Skills: Proficiency in Mig/Tig/Arc welding, hands-on experience with electrical and manual equipment, and an excellent understanding of fabrication techniques and construction methods.

– Communication: High-level communication skills and the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and site marking plans.

– Safety: A deep understanding of safely operating tools of the trade, with a commitment to minimising risks.

– Team Player: The ability to collaborate effectively within a team and assist other workers as required.

– Time Management: Adherence to production deadlines and effective time management skills.

– Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
